The length of time I’ve known you
personally
Is now the length of time I haven’t
purposely
And I could be near you now
physically
And I could think of you now
absently
Without suffering an aftermath
emotionally
The movie of you choosing us
resolutely
Is a hope lost in the maze of my
memory
Your bridge to my life has burnt
absolutely

The metal twists in the ring you’ve given me
Like the lies that twisted your tongue with words
that weaved in and out of our bond, making it
bend under the weight, writhe under the pain
twist to breaking point

Look you can see the frays, where you’ve
torn at my hopes and dashed at my dreams for

Stepping down my street I walk through the ghost
Of you and I standing by the crazy lady’s house
Your face the picture of a breaking heart
Not realising you were breaking mine

Where were you

It’s a good feeling when something you’ve studied finally applies in your personal life with tangible results.

BT tried to charge me £91 for cancelling the contract with them. But then they must have received my letter – because I received a telephone call from them apologising for their service and saying they won’t charge me for cancelling now.

This will probably not interest some people. I just wanted it out there on the world wide web so people realise how awful BT’s customer service is and to release my anger and frustration at how I have been treated by them. And also to make BT realise I am not someone you should be messing with (well, they shouldn’t be messing with any customers, full stop).

Some of you are aware that I moved houses over two weeks ago. I moved over to BT solely because they promised to connect me up faster (10 days) than my then existing provider (who said 3 weeks). I was supposed to have my internet and phone line up on 29th June. I didn’t. Since then every day I have had to call BT as one person after another makes a promise they fail to keep.

I spoke to some of the kids and colleagues in my youth work and was shocked to find they had similar horror stories with BT. One of my colleague’s sister moved houses and it was 6 weeks of false promises later that she finally got a service from them. I don’t want to be that horror story so have cancelled my service with BT as of yesterday. I don’t want you to be a horror story either, so read on if you wish, if not just avoid BT like the plague if you’re considering broadband and phone line! (more…)

Carved on a tree
You and me
Supposed to be
For all eternity

Except
The tree got chopped.
